Here’s a look back at some of the key moments from ECIO 2025.

CVIR Oncology Reception

To celebrate the official launch of CVIR Oncology, we were thrilled to welcome colleagues and supporters to a CVIR Oncology Reception.

Held in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, the event brought together members of the interventional oncology community, including contributors, reviewers, and editorial team members. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect in person, toast to the launch of the journal, and share ideas about the future of publishing in this fast-growing field.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!

CVIR & CVIR Oncology Challenge

One of the highlights at the CVIR & CVIR Oncology booth during ECIO 2025 was the CVIR & CVIR Oncology Challenge.

Attendees were invited to test their knowledge in interventional radiology, interventional oncology and CIRSE journals, by competing against fellow attendees in a fun and engaging quiz.

The winner of this year was Marek Dorusinec, who received CIRSE 2025 free registration. Congratulations Marek!

CVIR & CVIR Oncology Instant Feedback

CVIR and CVIR Oncology hosted an Instant Feedback session at CVIR & CVIR Oncology booth.

Attendees had the opportunity to speak with CVIR Oncology's Editor-in-Chief Thomas Helmberger, CVIR's Section Editor for Musculoskeletal Interventions Dimitrios Filippiadis, and CVIR's Section Editor for Oncological Interventions, Martijn Meijerink for a one-on-one manuscript feedback session.

It was a great moment for meaningful exchange, networking, and discussing the future of publishing in interventional oncology.

Meet the Editorial Office

Throughout ECIO 2025, attendees the of the congress had the opportunity to connect with the editorial team behind CVIR and CVIR Oncology.

By having their questions answered directly by the editorial office staff, visitors of the CVIR & CVIR Oncology booth got a look at the journal’s editorial process, learned about submission guidelines, reviewer opportunities, funding for their publications and upcoming initiatives.
